The IBR MBA: an example for successful Executive MBAs

The concept corresponds completely with the European MBA guidelines that consider the MBA as a post-experience and generalised degree. In this sense it serves as a career accelerator or a means to make a career shift.

The target group in the IBR MBA is clearly defined. The programme is characterised as an Executive MBA. This has been confirmed over time by many companies in Ukraine that employ IBR graduates as well as by the honour to be awarded by the German industries with an innovation price for executive education.

Students as well as graduates emphasized particularly the quality and reliability of the MBA. One quality indication was that students transferred from competing international MBA programmes to the one of IBR in order to learn more.

In summary, FIBAA considers the IBR MBA as trend setting. Based on the successful integration of a scientific and practical approach, this MBA has grounds to serve as an example for many other MBA offers.

Integration of industries, content and processes: one key to successful MBAs

The successful integration of various modules and courses is linked to the overall MBA design. IBR students experience practically in their studies how key management processes are connected in an overall network and how business functions build on top of one another. This does not happen based on unknown companies, but based on their own businesses. Many elements that are presently extensively criticised internationally as not being considered in MBA programmes at all are being actively used by IBR already for many years. This is particularly true for areas such as "strategic thinking", "communication", and "leadership". These areas have been focus in the IBR MBA from its very beginning.

In addition, analytical thinking, strategic thinking, facilitation of creative problem solving skills, oral communication skills, and information analysis are integral objectives of the IBR MBA. Facilitated by the programme structure they are successfully implemented by its students and graduates. The integrative concept, the international character of the MBA content and the use of English as a foreign language have been assessed by FIBAA as being optimal.

The IBR Network that consists of companies, guest speakers, advisory board, and the IBR Executive Network as the alumni organisation allows the IBR MBA to be closely interwoven with industries. FIBAA considers this outstanding integration work of IBR an example not only for Ukraine, but also for many Western European universities.

IBR MBA faculty: highly scientifically qualified and top class management experience

All professors in the IBR MBA faculty are of high quality based on comprehensive publication lists, own research reports, and management and international experience. They are involved actively in research and teaching activities at their home universities. This enables them to apply latest research results in their teaching in IBR.

Without doubt, this is a highly qualified and from a scientific standpoint, very productive MBA faculty. The fact that its members are actively involved in many internationally renowned universities, institutions and companies speaks for itself. They are professionally equipped to integrate up-to-date research results into their teaching programmes. In addition, their top class management experience in various areas has been acknowledged by numerous prizes. All of this is a necessary prerequisite for offering an ideal MBA programme.

The composition of such a scientific and professionally oriented staff coincides completely with the corresponding FIBAA quality standard. The IBR MBA faculty is able and equipped to manage and run MBA programmes within agreed on time schedules. FIBAA congratulates the management of IBR that it was able to recruit such an exceptionally dedicated and qualified faculty that (a) is highly scientifically qualified, and (b) draws back on intensive, long-lasting management experience.
