Launched and hosted by the Brussels-based European Foundation for Management Development (efmd), EQUAL is the international association of quality assessment and accreditation agencies in the field of European management education.

In 1997, FIBAA joined European Quality Link - EQUAL, the European association of national accrediting bodies for economics-oriented courses. FIBAA has played an active part in the association’s work and the fruits of that work, such as the “European Guidelines for MBA programmes“, the “Distance Learning Guidelines“, a classification system for Master’s courses, the “Bachelor Guidelines“ and documents aimed at resolving specific issues, for example the documents on “Internationalisation” and “Research and Development“.

IBR Institute of International Business Relations is a member of the German Association for University Continuing and Distance Education (Deutsche Gesellschaft für wissenschaftliche Weiterbildung und Fernstudium e.V). It is a national association of about 270 institutions and individuals including universities and continuing education bodies in Germany. About 15 members come from other European countries.
