Promising candidates are invited for an interview. A final decision regarding admissions is made by the IBR head office in Germany after the interview.
1. Online application form

2. Essays
The essays are an opportunity to tell us more about yourself. Use the essays to detail your interests, values and goals. We are interested in what motivates you, evidence of leadership and team work, and why you are looking to pursue an MBA at this point in your life. The essays are a vital part of your application and thus we recommend that you spend a significant amount of time in their preparation.
3. Curriculum vitae (CV)
Please provide a CV. This CV should be not longer than one page. If you have any significant gaps in your employment history, please tell us in the personal interview.
4. Two letters of recommendation
Your two references should be from people who know you well and are in a position to comment on your suitability for the MBA Programme. One referee could be from a current or previous employer, a colleague, or someone else who knows you well at work; the other referee could be someone who taught you at university or knows you in a professional capacity. IBR Institute of International Business Relations reserves the right to contact your referees for further information in connection with your application.
5. Official transcript(s) of grades
All applicants must submit an official or certified original university (institute-) transcript of their academic degree (diploma) of a minimum of four years study time for a full-time programme. All documents must be officially translated into German or English.
6. English language test score (where applicable)
Proficiency in speaking, writing and reading in English is essential. If
- English is not your native language or
- You have not received your first academic degree at an English speaking higher educational institution or
- You have not lived for more than 2 years in a country where English is an official language
You either will have to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), or other tests that are accepted by IBR Institute of International Business Relations. With respect to other tests, please contact your local IBR office. We will not accept unofficial scores, photocopies, faxed score reports or scores that are more than two years old.
